I wanted to let you know how very special Michel is to not just my father but to Dale and I as well. Yesterday ( November 18, 2015) my father was not feeling well at lunch time and Michel had him sit in his chair with a blanket on. When she left to go home she called me to let me know that he was not feeling very well and what had happened. I really appreciate that she keeps us informed about how he is doing. This she has always done. Last night when she came back to fix his dinner he was not feeling any better so Michel called his doctor at Kaiser and he was out of the office so she spoke with an RN. She explained what was going on and also had my dad speak to them. They said with his symptoms he should go to the hospital. Michel called me right away and said she was taking him to the hospital. He had 102 temperature and was really not doing well. Michel did not leave his side and assisted in caring for my father. She also kept calling us after X-Rays and scans and blood work were done and came back. As it turned out he has a virus. But at 92 that can be dangerous. She did not get to eat any dinner and did not get home until very late..
We were packed and ready to drive down there. Michel said to wait and see what happens. As it turned out thanks to Michel we did not go. I was very upset and she made things so much easier just by keeping us up to date on what was going on. I keep telling her I don’t know what we would ever do without her. Last night proved that point. She always takes such GREAT care of my father. With her I know he is safe and well cared for. She notices everything no matter how small. She is such a gift to Dale and I since we are the primary ones going to my dads now. We are still going every other Wednesday. We still have Michel come when we are there so we are free to do things to help my dad. When we are home she is our eyes and ears and we have grown to really count on her. We can never repay her for all that she does, but I can write to you and tell you how special she is to our family. What an asset she is to Accredited Home Care Care
